I also know you deserve to be on the ice as you have an enormous amount of talent. I will be getting a leafs sweater with your name on it and a girls trip is already in the works to see you play in Toronto, I wish you all the success wherever you go.Flag

Name: Jason Paul on Feb 1, 2010Comments: I write this with tears coming down my cheeks and I'll be late to work, but it's worth it. To see you go is heart-breaking. I was a Ducks fan from the very first game. But I will admit come my high school years I got very distracted with band and the such and I couldn't follow them as much or go to the games. But, as I approached graduating in 2003, I noticed the Ducks made the playoffs and were playing Detroit. And I kept my eye on that series. And as I watched that series progress, I saw a goalie steal it away, an INCREDIBLE series for this man, and his name was Jean-Sebastien Giguere. And then I couldn't keep my eyes off of Mighty Ducks. And saw an incredible playoff run, amazing 5 OT! The (then) second longest Playoff Shutout Streak...and then a 7-Game Stanley Cup Finals to see a heart-broken Playoff MVP in Jiggy. From the moment on, I asked myself, why did I stop paying attention? Why did I stop playing? And ever since then, I didn't miss one Ducks game. I got back into Hockey and started playing again. I went to as many games as I could, I rediscovered my passion for the sport and for the Ducks. You brought that back into me. You represented the new Ducks, The Ducks that have been one of the best teams overall since the lock-out, since 2003. And to see you become the Ducks leader in Wins, Shutouts, Games played etc....and to watch that happen always brought a smile to my face. And to see you hoist the Stanley Cup and to see, in my opinion, your best game of your career: Game 5 against the Detroit Red Wings in 2007. I never met you in person, but if I ever did, all I would want to do was hug you and say "Thank You."Flag
