Texas Film & Video Specialty License Plates!
Petition sponsored by the Texas Association of Film & Tape Professionals.
The Texas film, video, commercial production and moving media business is a vibrant, creative and eco-friendly industry. Through the establishment of a specialty license plate, we can promote it everyday just by placing this mini-billboard on our vehicles.
Many non-profit local and statewide industry organizations will benefit through the sale of these plates.
In order to begin, we need 3,500 people who will commit to purchasing them. We are in the process of getting a bill sponsored in the legislature to authorize the manufacturing of these plates. Once the bill passes (and it will, since it won’t cost the State any money nor is it politically controversial), we’re in business.
The information you provide in this petition will help immensely in showing support for this project.
The plate will cost approximately $30.00 each plus your normal registrations fees. The State of Texas gets $5.00 and the rest can be divided up between the non-profit organizations. This will be an on-going fund-raiser as well a constant source of promotion and marketing for the industry!
Through this petition, we will keep you informed and updated. When our bill passes, we will be able to find you to start the process of actual ordering. Designs for the plate are still under consideration and you can submit ideas to the email provided.
