I was thrilled to see Mayor Johnson's recent comments on his blog about taking "a more proactive approach" to homelessness in your city and the opportunity to "allow homeless people to camp under the stars in a designated place." I'm writing to ask you to follow through by repealing Sacramento's no camping ordinance. As you know, local advocates at Safe Ground would be more than happy to work with you to develop new options for the homeless community until the day comes when homelessness can be eradicated entirely.
