Dehradun Ashram is under threat and Babaji is now fasting to protect his Guru's Ashram and will do so until death if necessary unless the situation is resolved.

Over the last few decades, Swamiji's Ashram has been gradually encroached upon until it has reached this critical point. All attempts at reconciliation and appeals to respect the Guru's Ashram have failed. Babaji, as the head of the trust, has repeatedly asked for assurances there will be no more private expansions on Ashram grounds and where assurances were given they have proved to be insincere. The Ashram belongs to the Guru and to all His devotees - it is no one person's property. We appeal to you, the devotees, to stand up for what is right and voice your opinion. Babaji has taken his stand and is now sitting in the open, fasting unto death.
