Name: Stuart Toulson on May 10, 2007Comments: i know time and a half is okay but those on the old contracts get double time and new starters only get normal, which i dont think is fair to be honest, everyone does the same job and i thought the union brought in that everyone had the same rate of pay, but why not on sundays and bank holidaysFlag

Name: Gemma Jacobs on May 10, 2007Comments: everyone should be entitled to double pay on bank and public holidays. a company as big as tesco should be aware of the importance of a happy work force and, with the profits that they show, double pay on bank holidays is an affordable step towards thisFlag

Name: Alan Childs on May 10, 2007Comments: At our Thetford store the problem of getting people in on a Sunday and Bank Holiday is a never ending nightmare, and it is clearly an issue that results in not being able to serve as many customers as we otherwise could, as well as we could. During the Bank Holidays is often our busiest time and Tesco should do everything they can to get more staff in. Also, I find it unfair that Tesco has reduced the premium rate in the first place, and that even after a years service my college gets double time for doing the same work and hours as I do, where I just get the extraFlag
