The creators of Facebook need to make some changes to the site's faulty lockout policies, "guidelines" and terms of service. Lately Facebook seems to be on a "high" where content that is not seriously offensive is being removed and users are being banned or locked out of their accounts for ridiculous reasons. It seems too easy to report and get content removed and ban people from using their accounts. I'm not referring to hate speech which involves attacking someone or a protected group for being different. I'm referring to freedom of speech and freedom of expression, which a lot of people use on Facebook to communicate and express themselves with. Facebook is violating this speech. Example, I posted an image with a message that said "Common sense is like deodorant. The people who need it most never use it", and somehow that warranted a 30 day ban from posting, sharing and liking content on my account. The image I posted was not directed at any specific group or person, it was just a message explaining in a short-to-the-point way of how people behave in today's society. Another person was also locked out of their account for criticizing an anti-choicer/homophobe. In addition, there is no way to contact Facebook in regards to certain content being removed, or about an account being locked or banned, and there is no way to discuss the subject in any of Facebook's community sections Facebook is doing a great disservice to its members by violating their rights to freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Last I checked Facebook was not a communist or totalitarian network. The only exception to removing content and banning users or locking users out of their accounts is if someone's life is being threatened, sucide is encouraged, people are being encouraged to engage in self-harm, or if hate is being advocated toward people based on their race/ethnicity, gender, sexuality, orientation, religious beliefs, or age. Facebook's current policies are unfair and the creators of Facebook - Zuckerberg, Saverin, Moskovitz, and Hughes - should be ashamed of themselves. Facebook is nothing without its members and if they're driven away because of Facebook's ridiculous polices and the abuse of power granted to the moderating teams, Facebook won't be Facebook anymore.
