VT Teens Opposed to Physician-Assisted Suicide!

As Vermont teens, we the undersigned, believe that bill H-44 or Physician-Assisted Suicide would put ourselves and our peers at considerable risk. We believe this bill would send dangerous mixed messages to the thousands of Vermont teens who consider and attempt suicide each year. Vermontâs teen suicide rate is considerable higher than the national average. According to one survey, one-fourth of Vermont teens have seriously considered ending their life. We demand that this body take action in combating this and not encouraging it.

8 years ago Comments: I think it is tragic that a state in this country, originally formed on the strong, Godly foundations of our forefathers, could possibly have sunken so low as to even consider the horrific idea of Physician Assisted Suicide. This is the absolute worst thing for the confused and sometimes mislead teens of today. We need our government to value human life as the precious thing that it is. Physician Assisted Suicide sends the opposite message that adults have supposedly been trying to send kids for so long. Suicide is the wrong choice. So what makes it better if a physician assists you
