As Vermont teens, we the undersigned, believe that bill H-44 or Physician-Assisted Suicide would put ourselves and our peers at considerable risk.
We believe this bill would send dangerous mixed messages to the thousands of Vermont teens who consider and attempt suicide each year.
Vermontâs teen suicide rate is considerable higher than the national average. According to one survey, one-fourth of Vermont teens have seriously considered ending their life. We demand that this body take action in combating this and not encouraging it.
