Teenage Drivers Against McGuinty's New Rules

2,451 Signatures Goal: 5,000

McGuinty Government Proposes New Rules For Novice Drivers And Tougher Laws For Drinking And Suspended Drivers. Overall this means that it will take 36 months for a new driver to obtain a license. G1 drivers will have to wait 12 to 18 months before they can attempt to get their G2's. G2 drivers are only allowed 1 person in the car. No one will be allowed to drink in the car unless they are 21 years and older. This new law would restrict teenagers from carpooling; carpooling is a way to help lower the air pollution from cars. With this new law, it will add more teenage drivers to the roads. Also the first time you are caught speeding, you get you license suspended for 30 days, the second time 90 and the third you get it suspended and it is demoted to G1 license. This is not just unfair but also prejudice. Teenage drivers are not the only people that speed. So sign the petition if you think this new law is unfair. What use is it to have designated drivers if they can only drive one person, with the TTC or cabs as the only alternative
