Teens are sexually active and are not illegally permitted to get birth control without a parents’ consent. Teens start having sex between the ages of 12-19. Many teens are afraid to discuss them being sexually active with their parents. If teens choice to have sex they should be able to protect themselves.

  Nearly 80% of teen pregnancies are unplanned in the United States. Girls would either get an abortion or have birth given the unborn and unfair life. According to muttmacher.org the percent of abortions in 2006 was 27%. The percentage for birth rate was 59%. Not only is it the female’s responsibility it is also the males. There’s a rate among males aged 15–19 who become fathers. Not only can not using birth control affect you becoming an unplanned parents it can also damage you health. There are many teens who are living today with a sexually transmitted diseases and do not know it. There are about 3 million U.S. teens that have STDs every year! The birth control method, the condom is the only way to prevent STDs.
