So, many people have heard about the Steubenville Rape Case that has recently surfaced in the media. The majority of news coverage is sympathizing for the boys who RAPED the 16 year old girl, and tortured her. These two football players are now only being charged with ONE year in juvenile detention, and the public believe their life is ruined. That poor girl may never recover from what those boys did to her and they should suffer more then one year. If boys can go to a party, get drunk and expect to wake up in the same place they passed out, fully clothed, then I believe girls should too. Now, I am not condoning drinking in teenagers - trust me. But it happens and that's a fact of life. My goal is to raise awareness on teen rape/date rape and get a larger sentencing on those who sexually assault others. And so, I call on you to help me bring this issue forward and introduce higher sentencing for prosecutors!
