The petition

Teachers in many countries throughout the world are experiencing unprecedented levels of disempowerment and stress. Far from being creatively fulfilled, passionate companions to the students in their care, they are increasingly burdened and overwhelmed with the bureaucratic demands of the systems that they work in.

The well-being of thousands of teachers and students is currently under threat with goverments placing test results and league tables above the moral, social and emotional well-being of communities.

The teachersunite petition has been created to demonstrate the strength of feeling that there is about the situation. It aims to show these teachers that they are not alone and that others around the world acknowledge their struggles and support them in calling for change.

The petition is ongoing and will be used by teachersunite.com to show just how many people worldwide feel that teachers and students must be given the chance to live happy, meaningful and purposeful lives.
