Comments: Because of the hardship this brings upon working parents, I believe teacher inservice days should return to being half-days instead of delayed openings.

Comments: The change in schedule to delayed openings places an undue burden and hardship on working families, as well as a safety risk for our children. I dont remember the board seeking public comment on this as they should. How could this board so ignore the interests of this community?

Comments: Restore the calendar to half days to the benefit of the tax paying parents and not the few instructors who want delayed openings.

Comments: If you continue this procedure, I am assuming that the fees charged for CHILD will be less for those students registered for the afternoon session. Or is this a way to make additional $$ for CHILD?

Comments: 2 hr delays isnt something that our kids should have to endure, their school time will be cut so short and what could they possibly learn in a day that starts at practically lunch time. Parents cant work and keep jobs with this schedule. If teachers need to make up hrs for in swervice then it should be done on their after school time. Perhaps, 2x a mon th after school a few months out of the yr.

Comments: I'm a teacher in the S. River district and we have never had half days or 2 hr delays. We do all our in service from 3:30-4:30pm and we do them several times a yr to make up our hrs.

Comments: This is crazy. I'm a single parent, as I'm sure are many other people here, and missing two hours of work OR paying additional child care is going to hurt my ability to support my son. Not only that, if I have to miss work it's going to jeopardize my job security. PLEASE return things to the way they were.
