Name: Ryan Hiller on Apr 18, 2007Comments: Welcome to the New World Nightmare. Our country has a long history of "detaining" those deemed problematic. In Texas, for example, Germans were arrested and detained on trumped up charges during the First World War. Unfortunately this is not an isolated issue, and there is much literature available on the growth of the police/prison state. Simply stated, profit motive does not belong in our criminal justice institutions. Depriving humans of their most basic dignities, and forcing them into a life of semi-exile is not the answer. Nor is paying them cut-rate wages for their labor under duress. That it has come to this seems axiomatic. But that's all I have to say.Flag

Name: Mary K Ferris on Apr 29, 2007Comments: I have visited this place and it is a maximum security prison for innocent children. My congressperson, Mr. Carter from Williamson county aid, " I assure you there is nothing to be concerned about .. it is a safe and secure environment." I could not believe this. T DON HITTO is the most horrific thing I have witnessed in America. If we cannot do better then this country is already lost. Rev. Mary K. FerrisFlag
