My name is Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and I am calling to you from beyond the grave. Please, on my behalf, stop the erosion of my vision for ballet. In Ireland, for example, for the past two years an Arts Council funded a company to present The Nutcracker with 15 dancers and no Corps de Ballet. This is an erosion of my vision and, although I am not here to protect it, I call on those who love classical ballet to sign this petition and make my voice heard. Apparently, the above company is seeking State support to treat Swan Lake in the same way. I Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky says "No". Please support me and preserve our great art form for this generation and many generations to come.
