Name: Benjamin Melan on Jun 8, 2004Town: NatickState: MAComments: I add my voice to those calling for a Center for the Arts in Natick that is of the community, by the community, and for the community- for bringing people together, sharing, making art, and building common bonds and goals. Legal control by the TCAN community is the necessary, fundamental, first step. Elections for all Board members now!Flag

Name: Bob Murphy on Jun 9, 2004Town: NatickState: MAComments: I agree on three year terms but there must be an initial process of elecitng to 1,2,and 3 year terms. AL BOD members cannot change at the same time. There should be a provision for at least 1 year between terms with the possible excepton of officers who would have one 1 more year or another term. There needs to be some continuityFlag

Name: Izzy Doveburd on Jun 9, 2004Town: NatickState: MAComments: There should be a democratic framework for the participation of the community which TCAN is meant to serve, in the running of the organization. It was never intended to be a dictatorship by the Board of Directors.Flag

Name: Elaine Scurci on Jun 9, 2004Town: HudsonState: MAComments: I was a volunteer, and have not been willing to continue with my post under the current circumstances. I am very disappointed with what has transpired, and think the above is the mimimum that should be done to begin to make me feel that positive progress is being made in this situation at TCAN. I commend the TCANites for their constructive process and determination in this manner.Flag

Name: Sandra Berardi on Jun 9, 2004Town: WaylandState: MAComments: I am appalled that we cannot work out the current situation. If you tell me that Mr. Moran is a thief, scam artist, or a pedophile, then I would support a decision to remove him in the way that you did. There would be, quite simply, no center if it were not for this individual's personal contribution. I am very new (December 2003) to TCAN or whatever it's called; have enjoyed only one performance; have met Moran once; and am totally distressed over the fact that the two sides cannot come together with an independent mediator and resolve this issue. Grow up and be a good model to your children. Work through this issue. Please!Flag

Name: Ridgely Fuller on Jun 9, 2004Town: SherbornState: MAComments: It is beyond high time to get TCAN back on track..the track of an outstanding community based artspace where good cheer and camraderie were in infinite supply. The Board needs to come to grips with the many mistakes it has made and get some decent bylaws which protect TCAN from destruction.Flag

Name: Peter Draymore on Jul 9, 2004Town: HudsonState: MAComments: I was one of the early supporters of TCAN, back when it was still in the old store front. It was because of Michael that I not only joined, but donated additional funds to help make the new building happen. I have not been back to TCAN since this whole mess started, and I probably will not be back until the board is more responsive to its members.Flag
