We the undersigned petition Post Office Ltd to allow Quedgeley Post Office the opportunity to offer Motor Vehicle Licencing facilities. After considerable public concern, Quedgeley got its much-needed new post office this Spring. It is conveniently situated in the Quedgeley district centre as part of the Tesco Extra shopping complex. This sits at the heart of the ever expanding Quedgeley suburb and the daily footfall in this vibrant area can be measured in the thousands.The new post office contributes to its vitality, delivering an essential public service that is in high demand from all sectors of the community.The post office location is ideal, convenient for other services and has excellent parking facilities. Residents expected to be able to tax their motor vehicles at the new post office and were dismayed to learn that this was not possible. Instead they have to travel to smaller out of the way locations or use the main Gloucester Post Office some three miles away. It is inconceiveable to us that a post office situated in a major shopping complex such as we have in Quedgeley, is unable to offer the full range of services we expect. Please put this right.
