Name: D Sorensen on Dec 6, 2010Comments: The rise in food cost, is causing health decline in low income families. We can no longer afford to buy healthy fresh produce Its redicoulus that processed foods and drinks are cheaper to buy than healthy produce Its time for a change! High produce cost forces families to live on cheap junk foods who later causes severe health decline, thereby increasing the cost of healthcare cost in the overall budget of the goverment. So wise up, and do the right thing :) New Zealand have some of the highest prices in produce and healthy foods ive seen in the world, and it definately dont match the income! I If food prices dont come down, there will have to be matching incomes (high rise in minimum pay!)Flag

Name: Jennifer Steele on Dec 7, 2010Comments: GST on food makes already struggling families have to choose cheaper unhealthy food, which in turn increase illness and disease. Remove the GST let people make healthy choices and have a much healthier country and remove the strain on the healthcare system at the same time!Flag

Name: Cheryl Byngeley on Dec 7, 2010Comments: Food is the most basic of human necessities - adding even more tax restricts the already struggling workforce to, at times, subsistance living. I'm all for paying our share towards the country's needs but Isn't this time to give the people a break???Flag

Name: Selene Simcox on Dec 7, 2010Comments: People aren't surviving. They are living on junk food because it is cheap. And now National think a high tax rate is the solution. Make all food non gst to help level out the country, create a health nation that isn't facing more health issues and do something write for once. I support the call to remove all taxes off all foods.Flag
