We the undersigned agree that all taxis in the State of Wisconsin should have the name of the company they represent clearly visible at 50 feet or more on the vehicles used for such service or "passengers for hire" (including limousines, buses, vans, minivans, sedans, senior citizen transportation, etc.) along with DOT numbers and contact numbers posted on both sides of the vehicle, if the vehicle qualifies for DOT registration, according to state regulations. All taxis and taxi companies also should be required to post a picture ID of the person driving the vehicle and post rates in full view of the passengers. This will protect the consumer from getting in the wrong cab and to understand the expected fees, and also to know who the driver is if they should be violated in any manner. Before operating as "passengers for hire", all drivers should be required to have background checks and all vehicles be registered under a company name and required to have commercial insurance, according to State of Wisconsin regulations.
