Name: Raymond Penalosa on May 29, 2007State: CACountry: USComments: I totally agree. I do not want a bill or policy where a non-custodial parent can get away without paying child support. But the bottom line is we need to take care of ourselves also. If we can't support ourselves then how are we going to support our kids. Some form of tax break does help us offset the cost of taking care of our kids, thus help us live a more productive a rewarding life.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 28, 2007State: AZCountry: USComments: We need a tax break on that money. I pay about $7000 a year just in child support and I don't get to write off that at all. If I don't pay that child support then my child's mom will have to ask for govermetn help because just her income will be enough to pay child care food and home. We need credit for that, we are helping the goverment with our own kids that we don't even get to keep, I get my little angel every other weekend.Flag

Name: Dave Vance on Jul 31, 2007State: MOCountry: USComments: I feel like all non-custodial parents are discriminated against because our situation is not quite in line with (what the goverment see as) typical family scenarios and the non-custodial parent pays the price!!! I am paying support on a 16 year old child i knew nothing about until i got a letter from DFS about a year ago.Flag
