This petition is to write to Mr Ratan Tata, that on Jamsedji Tata's 174th birthday, we think like Alfred Nobel's Nobel Prize .. the Tatas should also introduce something like the Tata Prize as the highest civilian recognition for the contribution to Indian growth in several fields like Fine Arts, Literature, Music, Physics, Chem, Medicine, Agriculture, Economics, Engineering, Social Service and Mathematics. Indians often have to depend on recognition of the West to get widespread attention. Many real contributors are not remembered because of their inability of get attention of the Western media. We would want the Tatas - who have greatly made India what it is today - to institutionalize a form of recognition for the other great sons and daughters of India.
