No mining activity in rural residential estates.

149 Signatures Goal: 250

We are trying to stop CSG mining activity in rural residential estates.

The mining company has admitted they have NO experience working close to residents in rural residential areas.

Mining activity in these areas causes major disruption to peoples lives.

eg. noise polution, sleep deprivation, contamination to water supplies, safety is a VERY big issue. Mining in rural residential estates takes away peoples right to a happy and healthy lifestyle. It causes unneccesary stress.

People should be able to say NO....WE DONT WANT YOU HERE!!!

Nobody can tell us the related health and safety issues involved with mining close to homes.

It has now been proven that the gas wells and the ground around the gas wells are leaking gas.

We are all at an even greater risk not only from methane gas poisoning and other health issues, but also from bush fires in these areas. Some local rural brigade members have serious concerns about  fighting fires in areas where there is gas activity and around gas infrastructure.

Mining companies need to stop gas activity in these areas!
