The petition

Tara Aryan (*1) who has lived in Brighton for two years has been told by the Home office she will be return to Iran to face persecution and death for her religious believes.

This Petition is to request the British Government to release Tara and grant her asylum her in the United Kingdom. As you can read from the new articles on the right of this page it is not safe for Tara to return to Iran and she WILL be killed should this happen.

The news articles on the right have appeared in the local press highlighting and supporting her case. She is supported by a growing number of campaign groups, which has been spear headed by Brighton Voices In Exile (BVIE)

Under Iranian law (see link to the right) she can face imprisonment or death for abandoning Islam and converting to Christianity.

Church leaders and her MP have written to the Home Office asking it to reconsider her deportation as her solicitor is making a desperate last-ditch bid to set her free.

Tara is currently being held at Yarls Wood Immigration Removal Centre in Bedfordshire.

As of Friday 13 June at 11am her removal was halted by the Home Office pending judicial review by the high court and an application for bail has been made by her solicitor.

*** PLEASE HELP SAVE TARA AND SIGN THIS PETITION, THANK YOU ***

***** PLEASE ALSO EMAIL YOUR MP TO STOP TARA BEING DEPORTED ***** use the link on the right >>>
