| 53 | Anonymous | Please release Tamirat. We Ethiopians know for what reason he has been sentenced. We know the truth. You also know who would be there in place of him. Thanks |
| 54 | Maasho negash | Tamrat may have done ethical mistake when he is in power but , i ask the Ethiopian goverment and the presedent honrable Girma Woldegiorgis to pardon him. |

| 57 | Anonymous | Mercy is also a popular children's game of strength. Two opponents face each other and grab their opponents hand. Opponent #1 right hand to opponent #2 left hand, opponent #1 left hand to opponent #2 right hand, interlocking fingers. On the word "go", each opponent attempts to bend their opponents hands back, inflicting pain on their opponent as the ligaments and tendons stretch in the wrist. When the opponent can no longer stand the pain, or reverse the situation by overpowering his opponent and bending back their wrists, he cries out "mercy" and is then defeated. The opponents then disengage hands and match is completed. Cheating involves any other activity during the match that inflicts pain, distraction or discomfort on the opponent. Additional sportsmanship etiquette includes the prompt release of the hand grip after the opponent is defeated. In certain districts of England this game is also known as peanuts, although Mercy is the traditional name. Note: This page may contain IPA phonetic symbols in Unicode. | 59 | Anonymous | Mr. Tamrat Layne has paid egough of a price for his mistakes. considering his previoous service to the country as a freedom fighter, the country should shaw mercy to his plight. In this matter I support samuel gebrus petition to free mr. Tamrat Layne. |

| 70 | Anonymous | Mr.President!
All the killers and anti Ethiopia led by the Derg HAILU SHAWEL are free. Why not to Tamerat ? |
| 71 | Anonymous | I am for his release. I believe that those who give pardon are always magnanimous. One thing he has to draw lesson is that he should not follow the foot steps of Siye and his Franchise of bullies and theifs. He may re-join EPRDF as an ordinary member and contribute for his country. |

| 79 | samson | Dear the gluttonous Girma Woldegiorgis,
With all due respect, you are one hell of Hodam Banda and Meles Zerawis Prostitute. It is sad to see that retards like you and Meles zerawi are allowed to govern such a sophisticated country. I only hope that the mighty God will shorten yours and the Tigre Apartheid regime’s days that became unbearable to all Ethiopians except the chosen/golden race of Tigre. I also hope the ever disgruntle Tigres will come out from their long comatose and join their Ethiopian brothers and sisters for their quest for democracy, freedom and justice.
Long live Ethiopia!!!
Dawn with ethnocentrism!!!
Dawn with the TPLF goons!!!
The Ethiopian people will prevail!!! |
| 80 | Fesfu | PLEASE GIVE THIS HERO SECOND OR LAST
CHANCE.
THANKS |

| 82 | Haile | free Tamrat. |
| 83 | helen | If CUD members can be pardone, why not Tamrat. At least he served his country dispite some mistakes. |
| 84 | Anonymous | It is not to minimize the crime of Tamrat, it is greed, bad judgement, and lack of character.
However, no man is without sin, all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.
1. The time served is enough for a comrade in arms.
2. CUD members who tried to overthrow a democratically elected government through anarchy, is a far greater crime committed against the constitution of Ethiopia to deserve a pardon. I did support the action taken by the government for the sake of peace and healing in the new millenium, thou I am very disappointed when they advocated for HR2003 and sympathised with a self acknowledged terrorist group of OLF.
I am not sure and can't predict how well he would behave, if he is pardoned. So I think it is safe to let him loose with parole of five years. |
| 85 | mamo | We are living by the mercy of the lord ,we shall give mercy |
| 86 | Yosef Abay | Free of freedome then will be converted to Schools as it said by Professor Ephrem Issac. National reconciliation is on the gleam |
| 87 | hadgu | Free Tamrat Layne . It is not fair |
| 88 | M.TAMRAT | MR, TAMRAT LAYNE DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE. HE MADE A MISTAKE AND HE WAS PUNISHED FOR IT . AT LEAST WE DO NOT SEE HIS MANSION ANY WHERE IN THE GREEDY WORLD AND WHAT EVER HAPPEN HAPPENED ,TIME TO MOVE ON. |
| 89 | Anonymous | It appears to be true that EPRDF favors its true enemies. It's treatment towards Shaebia, the pardon granted to the opposition (I support the decision), it's long overdue imprisonment of Ato Seye and Co., and the conduct of the demobilization of TPLF troops...is a case in point. My hope was dashed when the government failed to include Ato Tamirat among those pardoned for the new year. Although what Ato Tamirat did was wrong, the time served is enough and should have been pardoned long time ago-surely before the CUDs.

| 95 | almaz | people could be pardoned on merit. I am not convinced that you have produced any merit to warrant pardon for Tamrat Layne. who could be
incriminated for the killings of Amharas in Arsi and
Harargie by instigating Oromos to revenge their enemies. |
| 96 | Rediet Michael | What he has done (contributed) earlier should be taken in to consideration. He did a lot than most of us today and even yesterday. |
