Comments: Even though I have not been to a Maryland game in over a year, my family has season tickets to the games. I can remember at all of the games being told to sit down, even on crucial 3rd down situations. I would hope that the powers that be can see this would be good for all sides. In the few trips that I make to the area during the football season, I would rather stand in this section than sit anywhere else.

Comments: I'm a student and I think anyone without a can, crutches, walker, or wheelchair should be required to stand. I know this isn't possible so just let people who want to stand and shout have a place where they can do this without being bothered. We need a better football atmosphere in College Park!

Comments: That is what the game is all about. Cheering on the players to give them strong self asteem to feel like they are doing a wonderful job entertaining the fans of Maryland Football. Those who rise and shout are showing the real world what it is to enjoy a football game. I give my full support in letting fans stand if they wish and those who wish to sit can sit in front of there TV's and watch it close up if they want. Don't take away the best thing this football team needs and that is fan power. Good Luck

I feel like I am more involved with the game while standing, and feel the stadium atmosphere would only improve by adding an alumni standing section. Please consider this idea! Go Terps!

Comments: An alumni standing section would be a great way to revive/continue older traditions at the university. I do not currently have season tickets because I've sat in alumni sections before and found them BORING. I can sit down and watch just as easily on TV. I would definitely buy tickets if offered a standing only section.

Comments: In order to attract top recruits and become a national contender year after year, we need Byrd Stadium to have it's own character and instill fear in the visiting team. This isn't possible without having intense Terps fans that are willing to stand and make noise during critical situations in the game. During my tenure as a season ticket holder, I have been treated unfairly as a fan that is willing to help my team win by being the 12th Terp. I hope something can be done about this, our future depends on it. GO TERPS.
