The Sexual Assault Statute of limitations law should be changed to make it to where there's no limitations for cases that have special circumstances. For example, if there is a serial rapist who has victims going so far back that he cannot be prosecuted for those assaults due to Statute of Limitations, the law should be waved so he can be prosecuted for all of his assaults instead of just the ones that happened recently. Not all sex crime cases should be free of the limitations just the ones that can prove without a doubt they were assaulted by someone or other special circumstances. The law was passed to protect people from getting wrongfully accused or arrested without enough evidence. Cases like that should have limitations but there are other cases where they have everything they need to prosecute but cannot due to the law. If this could be changed or adjusted, so many women or men could get relief and more predators can be taken off the street.
