Name: Anonymous on May 14, 2012Comments: As a former employee I left on good terms with Stowe Electric, however, I have to say I never felt confident in Ellen's abilities as a manager. I truly believe her grammar/ writing skills are at an 7 grade level. I don't know how much miscommunication I witnessed because of her inability to articulate a simple email. Her tactfulness in most situations can be rash and in most cases her failure to educate herself about a situation before she makes a decision leads to her misinforming the customer or employee. I truly feel she is not educated enough to be in the position she's in. As an earlier petitioner mentioned she only saves face because she has a lawyer attached to her at the hip. Could you imagine the money this utility could save in legal fees if they had someone who knew what they were doing running the place. On another note I strongly encourage people investigate the employee turn over at this place. It's unbelievable! I think in 2011 alone they had a turnover of 8 employees. 2012 is also off to a good start with 3 employees. This is a good place to work for, however, Ellen is not the best canidate in providing a good work environment. It always seems hostile and morale there has to the lowest in the history of the utility since she has become manager. Please help this utility and the people that work there.Flag
