Save Our School I am an alumnus of Torah Academy High School of Brooklyn and a member of the TAB Alumni Association. Rabbi Moishe Rubin is leaving TAB to manage Ruach Hatorah. Rabbi Rubin has filed an application, now pending in the Court, seeking permission to sell the property on Coney Island Avenue that TAB's new building is to be built on. We have knowledge that this is intended to be the first step towards the closure of TAB. Rabbi Avi Davidowitz objects to the sale and the planned closure of TAB but has been pressured into silence. I'm submitting this petition to show my support for Rabbi Avi Davidowitz and express my objection to the sale of the property. I'm signing below to show my support for all efforts to keep TAB from closing and prevent the sale of the property. I've benefited from my time at TAB and Rabbi Davidowitz's dedication and want future generations to have the same access to this unique institution. Members of the TAB Alumni Association have funded the school's operation this school year by making contributions directly to Rabbi Avi Davidowitz who has used these contributions to pay the teacher's salaries. The alumni will continue doing so and also help Rabbi Davidowitz raise funds from his many supporters. Our intention is to grow and organize the TAB Alumni Association. Our goal is to direct the operation of our alma mater, raise funds to pay all TAB's legitimate debts and build the new building so that Rabbi Davidowitz can continue educating young men at TAB. I support the efforts of TAB Alumni Association to save TAB.
