    Comments: I do not support a boycott of Synthes. This being said, Synthese would best live up to its tradition of excellence by printing a response by Forrest. In fact, given Beckwith's own article and subsequent public comments by himself and other ID activists, I think it is clear that fairness and the health of both American polity and the philosophical community demand such an action.

Also, please respond with greater clarity and full disclosure of the facts leading to the controversial disclaimer published in the special issue of Synthese. The response you have made thus far fails to disclose the full context of the disclaimer, and does a poor job, at best, of responding to the criticisms directed against the publication of the disclaimer.
