We the Undersigned believe that:
Ø Where as youth are impacted by government decisions
Ø Youth have the lowest level of voter participation of all age groups
Ø Sixteen year old have the right to receive a drivers licence and can drive a car, so how is it fair for them not to be able to guide our society by suffrage?
Ø Women argued for the vote as they said that they need to influence the government to help their families, Youth need the vote to ensure that the government takes care of their future!
We the undersigned request of the Honourable Gordon Campbell lower the voting age to 16 for the May 17th 2005 Election in British Columbia, Canada. |
