| 107 | Marina Isakowitz | I am a student at Swarthmore college. My personal experiences with the financial aid office have been generally positive ones and my financial aid package has always been sufficient, but I know that financial aid is an extremely important issue. Echoing what Ruth Schultz said, even if a few students have problems with the financial aid process, this means we must examine the current system. Financial Aid decisions can and do force students to make decisions about the feasibility of returning to Swarthmore, and these students whose financial aid packages mean they cannot return to Swarthmore should feel like their concerns are being heard and responded to by the financial aid office. |

| 129 | Shaun Kelly | My major concern here is the abuse of outside scholarships, something I take to be inexplicable. I could understand not allowing students to "cash out" any excess scholarship money, but to deduct merit scholarships from aid because of an institutional bias against meritocratic systems seems excessive. |
