The site on Brassington Avenue has remained undeveloped for over five years despite several aborted planned developments. South Parade in Sutton Coldfield town centre is the main hub for buses and is totally inadequate for the purpose and there have been seveal accidents between buses and pedestrians. The Brassington Avenue site would make an ideal bus station, allowing South Parade to be pedestrianised in line with the rest of the main shopping arae in the town. Furthermore, there is an existing (currently disused) footpath on the junction of Brassington Avenue and Park Road which leads up to the Railway station, this would make the site a public transport hub for the town. We the undersigned petition Birmingham City Council to allow the site to be developed as a bus station which will enhance the prosperity of Sutton Coldfield.
