| 634 | Anonymous | considering most associate tutors are also engaged in their own research projects (etc) as well as teaching, which in itself is very challenging.
It is only right they should be paid adequately for the time effort and enthusiasm, which they put in to teaching along with teaching new students.
Not forgetting to mention, (non-salaried) out of hours marking, student support and subject preparation.
Respect for teaching has to be rewarded by a decent wage, reflecting an appreciation for their challenges.
After all 'good teachers' are worth their weight in gold ..and enhance the future of the economy !! |

| 647 | Kirsty Carden | I am not honestly sure that the university realises quite how hard these assioate tutors work for there pay, as even though it is often that the unlike the professors it is not the assosiate tutors specailised subject, yet i have found all my tutors do the reading and a lot of preperation, marking etc on time to the highiest of standards. |
