| 396 | Dale Butler | Dogfighting is cruel and criminal, and showing any tolerance for it reflects very badly on the NFL. The NFL must suspend Vick entirely pending the outcome of his case.
After reading the indictment, I look at the love each of my 8 dogs and cannot fully comprehend the pain and suffering inflicted by Vick and his cohorts on their dogs. I cannot fully describe to you what emotions and disgust this behaviour brings forth in my soul. Personally, it does not surprise me what professional football jocks do, what with an IQ 2 points lower than sludge, and an insatiable appeite to inflict pain on other humans under the auspices and protective label of "professional sports". Does it surprise anyone that Vick does not even feel remorse for his involvment? This reflects on all Pro football players and other clebrities as yet unamed by the federal indictment. Because the NFL commissioner refuses to suspend Vick from the NFL even after review of the descriptive fighting and incidents of dog MURDER for which he is accused...the NFL and its indecisive commissioner are adding to the confusion and chaos surrounding the NFL and this issue. This indecision as they try to feel the winds of publis snetiment regarding this issue will leave a black mark on the NFL and the many players who are not or would be involved in something as barbaric as this. This only reinforces the belief held by many that football and certain other sports actually contribute to the mentality required to perform these disgusting acts against animals. Vick is an animal pervert gaining enjoyment out of personally attending to the MURDER and DESTRUCTION of 8 dogs as outlined in the indictment. ANYONE who condones through inaction these inhuman crimes themselves should be put down just as the dogs were. The next questions then relate to how much has the NFL has actually known about what has been going on ( federal investigation etc.) for how long, involving exactly whom. This investigation could not have gone on without Blank having gotten whispers etc. about Vick. If the NFL didn't and I don't believe that...Then it better get better intelligence on its players (representatives). It seems to me that the NFL is on a path of self-destruction and should be investigated by an outside prosecutor to find out how much more there is. If you read the indictment, there is a fighting event in which a kennel called "showbiz kennels" provides dogs. I can only wonder which celebrity owns that kennel. Additionally the indictment list several other kennels having participated in these fights with 4 witnesses providing detailed descriptions of the fighting and ultimate MURDER of at least 8 dogs we know of...How many we do not know of remains to be seen. Personallt I have heard of dog fighting going on In Gainsville, FL by a friend who repaired an apartment rented by individuals in which dogs were fought. This evil is rampant on the land as fellow americans who are supposed to be leaders of sports "TERRORIZE" and murder our animals. What makes them any different than the terrorists we are fighting in Iraq. Terror is Terror and How does a parent explane to a 9 year old boy what there sports hero is accused of, especially when he has his own pit bull he adores. I can tell Vick one thing and the NFL commissioner as well... All of those involved in this incident will have a much higher power to answer to..if someone here doesn't get to them first. |
