Hello Everyone, In a short amount of time ( 48 hrs ) we have taken Suski's views from 26,169 to 26, 377 and we have 65 signatures on an online petition. I have never seen such quick progress. But, like most things that have quick progress they will slow down. I hope those who are following will continue to follow and 1) Keep up to date 2) Ask others to sign the petition 3) Post Suski's video on your Facebook 4) Add comments to Suski's YouTube video. 5) And, share any ideas of how to help Suski and the Skateboard Industry. Send Emerica a Message via YouTube How are we going to do this? First, and foremost we must raise Suski’s ‘This is Skateboarding’ video part higher than Leo Romero. VIEW SUSKI'S PART HERE Why? ...Because, it is an achievable goal that we can point to. We only need 2,346 views. A signature of this petition is more than what it seems. Many people have been denied a promotion, status, awards, protection, fairness and equality because of something more than what was on the surface of the situation. Underneath, they were denied; not because they weren't good enough, not because they didn't work hard enough and not because they didn't put in enough years. But, rather, because the industry, and sole actors too took it upon themselves to decide. In doing so those who usurped too much power within the industry rob those who are dedicated to skateboarding and do not want it to turn into just another sport or just another industry.
Anyone who has stepped on a skateboard and loved it has also fallen off one. Suski is paid to skateboard, the same as a brick layer is paid to make a foundation of a building. If a brick falls and injures that bricklayers hand then he deserves to be protected by a full coverage health insurance and an employer who will give him sick leave to heal. The same is for skateboarders in the skateboard industry but unfortunately this is not common place for many. Suski may or may not have something like this but the truth is that his career is undoubtedly going to be shorter than an accountant who will be able to work for 30, 40, 50 plus years longer. Also, to not give Suski a shoe (financial security) is a travesty in another aspect as well. To not, is like to deny the thousands of people who have been a fan of Suski a pinpoint in time, just a moment, where Suski influenced skateboarding. It denies us that point...
