EQUAL ACTION FOR SURJIT ATHWAL AND BANAZ MAHMOUD

The petition

We petition the British Prime Minister to rectify the fundamental inequality in the Foreign Office treatment of the Surjit Athwal and Banaz Mahmoud cases, both UK citizens and victims of 'honour killing�. We urge immediate Government action on both cases (on par with other British cases like Lucy Blackman, Kirsty Jones, Ian Stillman, Peter Bleach and Madeleine McCann); by pressing for senior co-operation from the Indian and Kurdistan Governments to enable remaining investigation and due process (e.g. extradition and possible legal prosecution) into outstanding suspects in India and Kurdistan who are linked to the above murders.
