We support education staff strikes. ATTACKS ON EDUCATION STAFF & LECTURERS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR EDUCATION TOO. WE WILL STAND WITH YOU.

(please state in the comments your institution and course if possible)

University Vice Chancellors are some of the highest-paid managers in the public sector – all 133 now earn more than the Prime Minister. At the same time as increasing their own salaries (up to 20%), these Vice Chancellors are offering their own academic staff an average increase of just 0.4% – which at current inflation rates means a severe cut. They are also undermining agreements on pensions and refusing to discuss job security in the hope of making it easier to sack lecturers and make cuts. Or they are already sacking staff and cutting your courses! That’s why university and college workers are voting on whether to take strike action in March. Students and staff need to stand together. This, along with tuition fees increases and the massive reduction in the state teaching budget voted in by the ConDems, is a Massive attack on all of us.
