Denise DuFaultOnce I was a proud Canadian, but with all the hearless, profit motivated wrongs our Governments have commited, I am no longer proud. Stop stalling negotiate Native Land claims, and Water IS a human right!

Karen KingChange the law that allows Corporations, including the Canadian government to eliminate Indigenous rights to decide what is best for the environment in which they live. Free Shawn Brant!
jaymie-rae maraclei am a Mohawk warrior from Tyendinaga. i live at the Quarry we have been occupying for over a year now. us warriors can do what need to be done to protect our lands with or without shawn it would be nice for him to get his charges dropped but it is quite doubtful, all that really matters is that us Warriors keep doing our best to protect the land.
jaymie maracleO.P.P no that after they shot and killed Dudley George, no kind of officer is allowed to pull a gun on a first nations person and on friday they had fully automatic guns loaded and pointed in our faces they say they saw guns in our quarry but they also thought Dudley George had a gun but it was a walking stick, the OPP are nothing but Racist liars and they know damn well they saw know weapons/guns in our Quarry.SHAME ON YOU PIGS!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa PenneyI cannot believe that in this day and age we are still treating First Nations peoples like this. Have some respect!
Roberta WhiddenThere needs to be fairness for Natives now, not after their lands are continually ravaged by the greed of the rest of the country.

AnonymousI am ashamed to be Canadian, it is time that the federal government stopped their greedy corporate growth and listened to the people! Free the people, uphold the land and do right for once!

AnonymousThe dispossession and criminalization of a people within a given society rather than promote national unity lead to exclusion, oppression and prejudice. The First Nation's Land right should be respected, or at least a referendum should be put in place. Free Shawn Brant today!
rose dohertyIt is unbelievable the amount of racism that exists in this country, even in a day and age when people are suppose to be educated. It hasbeen my belief that uneducated people are worse, but apparently not!!
Karen DaweI am sick and tired of having natives pay for the use of the courts and for media stories.
Ines GonzalezI request that Mr. Shawn Brant, spokesperson from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory be released and all these human beings - the Mohawk people - be treated as such, and with respect, not as second-class citicens. Anything less is in nature, degradation. The people that live in Canada, do not want for this good country to be known for its abuses in the rest of the world.
jaymie maracle (mohawk warrior)i am a Mohawk warrior living at the quarry......as i read through all of the petitions i seem to keep seeing (Shawn) and his >>followers....i need everyone to know that Shawn is NO leader and us warriors are NO followers Shawn brant will has no say we can do anything without Shawn....and we will prove it on May,29th the national day of action it coming soon and there will be NO Shawn Brant.....we have been waiting for ever for the government to handle with our land disputes and we havnt had any land given back so now its time to take it into our own hands, we will never give up until we get our land back...everyone needs to know we are not only doing this for ourselves but we are doing it for our children and future children if we dont stand up NOW there will be nothing for our children and grandchildren.......people who say we are Terrorist have no idea if you only understood that all this land was given to us for helping win the war, it was a gift to us and it has been scooped right from beneith of us. Its time to stand up and take back whats ours and we need all the support we can........we really need food and supplies for the quarry...fire wood and building wood would be well appreiciated, building tools ect. if anyone has any donations please drop off at the quarry....we have already had loads of people donate furniture and thing and we thank you all so much for your support.

Ronda BrookThe Mohawk people of Tyendinaga are fully justified in demanding the closure of the gravel quarry and dump which has been operating on their land without their consent and without regard for their territorial rights or their health. The United Nations keeps urging Canada to respect the rights of aboriginal peoples, but the wealthy individuals who want more resources have the power to steal what does not belong to them. Shawn Brant and the Mohawks of Tyendinaga ought to be compensated for the injustices which they have suffered.

AnonymousDo you ever wonder why Mother Earth is reacting (in the form of weather conditions) as she does? It may be because the one people who had and do have her back are being denied their divine right to honor, serve, and protect Her, as we all should.

Betty LynxlegIt is obvious that if the Indigenous peoples stand up for thier right to protect their lands, they are arrested and threatened with long-term incarceration. Shaun Brant is an example of the oppression Indigenous peoples endure when they stand for thier rights. Shaun Brant has done nothing wrong, other than bring attention to long-standing issues Canada has not addressed. Yet, for his courage, he is being silenced by the bars of his jail cell. It is shameful that Canada condemns other Nations for their oppressive government regimes, yet in reflection of the many experiences of Indigeneous peoples protecting their rights and lands, they are either killed or arrested under the guise of "justice." How is this different?
