| 711 | Jeff Nowers | This case is yet another chapter in the sorry saga of the oppression of indigenous peoples of this continent. Mr. Brant should be freed, now. |

| 717 | Linda Robinson | As I First Nation's person I stand in respect of Shawn Brant. Shawn has refused to be co-opted into white society and remains true to his aboriginal roots. He has taken an important stand which few aboriginal leaders have the courage to do. |
| 718 | Nathanael Brant German | Shawn is family and blood. My roots are in his soil. Shawn has done nothing to deserve the consequences he faces. |

| 720 | Jennifer Kierszkowski | Shawn is family! My grandfather Joseph Marcus Brant was born here! Stop exploiting the land of my family! |
| 721 | Leonard Kierszkowski | It's not surprising these actions were taken against Shawn. Money talks, and the Government puts on their blinders and listens.
The Trail of Tears Part 2 is not far behind. |
| 722 | Derek Elliott | To be denied bail on these charges is preposterous. |
| 723 | Jill Walden | I am a direct descendant of Joseph Marcus Brant and fully support Shawn |

His "crime" is acting out of love and self preservation of his people. |

| 737 | Tyendinaga Resident | Shawn Brant is a spokesperson for a very small part of the community....most of which are not Native. The Mohawk belief is, you are what your mother is. If your mother is not Native, then neither are you! These people are criminals as the law sees it. The same laws that keep Canadians safe. They have taken over a gravel pit to 'keep the land', but then sell the gravel from it for profit. Shawn hasa claimed in the past to have grown up in poverty. His mother was a lab technician and school teacher and his father had a very well paying job. Shawn preys on the media and distorts the truth to make himself appear as a victim. Shawn and his followers hate the OPP and do not want them on the Reserve and will stand nose to nose with those Officers and threaten them. When one of Shawn's followers crashed his truck in a ditch, who came to his aid and saved his life? A "white man". A "white man" who was an OPP officer. If that Officer did not do his duty by attending the accident, Shawn would have been the first one to scream "discrimination". You can't have it both ways Shawn. Grow up. Act like a man and take your punishment. Sit in prison. |

| 742 | Anonymous | As a mohawk I am disgusted by Shawn's actions. By all means do support First Nations, by doing something constructive. What has any of his actions done to improve my well, or yours? My home or yours? Our children's lives? NOTHING. This is absolutely NOT the way to make my fellow mohawks, life better. But it is the way to get attention from the media, by pretending to make a situation better. Shawn you are a disgrace to mohawks! I will give to my people by making a difference behind the scenes while you lie for the media. |

| 745 | DAVID DEWASHA | Shawn,i don't know if you remember me!
It will be 3 summers this year since i met you in Tyendinaga.
There was Larry Sault,Paula(larry's freind/confidont),Carol Godbey, and i think about 5 others including Taby Jamisson.
We all met with you and if i remember your wife was also present breifly;perhaps taking care of the kids.
This meeting we had was in August 2006,I must say you INSPIRED ME TO BELIEVE that one day we will win back what is RIGHTFULLY OURS.
As you know or i presume that is that the RCMP have backed off for sometime in regards to first nations selling tobacco products.
Well my freind(yes i concider you as a great freind and a leader to many)They (RCMP)have started again with me:over an allegation by a NON NATIVE hired by me who made a trumped up story to the OPP of which they (OPP)came on October 30/07 with a search warrant for one of my addresses but not for the other.
If you would like to here the rest;contact me at uncledave@chbhighspeed.net
In the mean time i will scrounge up some money to donate to your great cause and inform my fellow brother's and sisters here back in WAHTA and give them this web site address so they can veiw it and make their donations as well.
Keep up the good fight bro',your NOT ALONE! |
