Colonialism is a socio-economic reality, a manifestation of power, a system claiming sovereignty and domination over another using legalism to legitimize its crime, capitalizing, monopolizing global zing, corporatizing its theft of our lands, diverting our waters, mutating our fish, terminating our people, relocating our communities, silencing our drums, our traditions, our survivance and interrupting our Indian Time. It expresses it greed to feed by placing values and almighty beliefs upon capitalist intentions, in self righteousness and self proclaimed rights and responsibility to re-socialize the child while raping our Mother, the Earth, taking without asking, without regard. Colonialism is incompatible in its philosophical traditions, its monarch and majesty, its pomp and prestige, its chivalry and ceremonies subjectifying our souls upon its linear laws and barbaric beliefs… Colonialism is alive in Canada
