I work at Career Centers and after these people stay at the Fellowship Center and recover they come here to look for jobs , it is a good partnership in Escondido. The need is the same in Oceanside and there is a Career Center in Oceanside that they can use to move on to find work and move on with their life. thanks, Jean Nelson Disability Program Navigator Inland Career Center Escondido, Ca 92027Flag

Name: Marjorie Moorhead on Jun 29, 2007Comments: I am 89 years old, my daughter drank alcoholically for 25 years and becasuse of a recovery home similar to the one proposed in Oceanside she now has 16 years of sobriety. At the time she got sober she had been an Oceanside resident for 18 years and luckily, Escondido offered the services she desparately needed. Unfortunately my son was not so lucky. I found him upstairs in my home the day before his 52nd birthday. He had literally drank himself to death. Please support this desparately needed program.Flag

Name: Richard Torres on Jun 29, 2007Comments: The Fellowship Center gave me an opportunity to begin a new life free from drugs, beginning in 1982. I would have never been able to have done this by myself. The staff were very helpful, and it was good to know that a Recovery Home in the North County was available to someone like myself that had no hope of recovery. A Recovery Home in Oceanside will help to expand the needed services of San Diego's North Coastal CountyFlag

In the last 16 years I have witnessed many fine examples of The Fellowship Center. I know it as a place that men can go to turn their lives around. Although I have never lived there, I have many fine friends that have been through the center and have maintained many years of abstinence from alcohol. I have been a real estate agent broker for the last 14 years. Much of my business is in Oceanside. It is my opinion the existence if this facility will enhance the community it is in. Practicing alcohol and drug addicts are a drain on our society. Men whoFlag
