Comments: This library means much to SMU, Dallas, Texas, the South, and the cause of freedom. We want it as soon as possible.

Comments: I strongly support putting George W. Bush's library at SMU. I pledge to donate $1 million, as I did for his father's library. The Bush family has been very good to me, the True Father.

Comments: Individual opinions vary. I believe a university campus is a fantastic place to locate a presidential library. It is a place where lessons, good and bad, are able to be learned and perpetuated for the betterment of us all. SMU has a variety of people with a variety of opinions -- political, religious, moral, etc. No ONE individual should or does represent the insitution. The process of research, investigation, and learning is what good universities do. I am more bothered by the limited capacity of individuals to see this as a remarkable forum for teaching and learning than I am regarding any particular presidential library being connected wtih SMU. As an 86 alumnus, and as an educator, I believe this is a good thing. For those who are starting to argue that a presidential library has no place at a Methodist institution, I challenge you to use that standard for everything the university does -- and see what programs, projects, and initiatives are subject to removal. Methodism encourages us to faithfully ask questions. What better place to have a presidential library than by an institution that can set a tone of respectful, thoughtful, critical analysis of a presidency. But, the 'scholars' at the school need to do their part too.

Comments: Frankly if I were the President I would place the Library at Texas Tech or at Baylor. The leftists at SMU and in the Methodist Church will never appreciate it. They would probably be more comfortable with Clinton's Message Parlor

Comments: I believe he just learned to read a few years ago -- a whole library for the man might be too much too soon. Good luck with that!

Comments: I graduated from SMU way back in the class of '36, and I am simply sickened at the way these leftists are sticking their noses into the fine efforts of people trying to bring honor to our university. Shame on them!

Comments: As a life-long Methodist and Republican I am ashamed at the efforts to keep the Bush Presidential Library from locating at SMU. At this point I don't think SMU deserves the library, and the Methodist church doesn't deserve any more of my money!
