Name: Brittany on Dec 25, 2003Country: USComments: Some young women suffer with one or both of these diseases and these websites help them cope, I know this because they help me cope. They show you that you're not alone and that there are others like yourself and you can see how they cope. The only problem is young girls who think it's "cool" to be anorexic or bulemic, they don't understand that they're diseases and not something to aspire to become, that's the only danger of these websites, but as I mentioned earlier, some young women gain comfort from these sites, I do, and I will be very distraught if they are all shut down.Flag

Name: Jessica Scott on Dec 26, 2003Country: AUComments: the main problem with eating disorders is the secrecy... pro Ana-Mia sites help break down the first barriers. then maybe they have a hope of recovery. if you take away Pro Ana-Mia sites these girls are just gonna keep doing what theyre doing anyway, only they'll be much more lonely and feel isolated because they wont know how many girls are just like them. wont that be great.Flag

Web sites are not absolute and can change at any time. People should be free to change their minds as well as make a website about what is on their minds !Flag
