Comments: Keep pro ana sites! It's the right of the people to be able to speak their beliefs, regardless of whether or not it isn't the same as what others think or if it may endanger others. It's still their choice and this is a free country.

Comments: I don't suffer from anything other than people who tell me I should change who I am and what I desire to fit in with our society. A society which chooses to ignore the fact that we are one of the most OBESE in the world!! We should focus on helping the millions of people who stuff their fat faces with quarter pounders and fries twice a day first! I am PROUD to have control in my life and proud to be a follower of ANA!!

Comments: It is a place where sufferers can gather without being stigmatized by the clinicians or mental health professions who tragically in this day and age still do not understand the depth of suffering nor have compassion.

Comments: I just want to state that these Pro ed's are for those who have some kind of real understanding behind the illness as we the sick know it is an illness. I am totally for these websites chats etc.. There are AA meetings so why is it not okay for these us women to discuss our issues It just really frustrates me that they are closing them down. I thank you for the chance to express my feelings on this issue.

Comments: THIS IS RIDICULOUS! The society that has told us, that looking thin and beautiful is "IN" wants to sensor our way to be with others that go through the same thing! Its ridiculous! Its our damn business what we want to do, and no one should have anything to say about it... and to end with my protest! I'll stop visiting Pro Ana Mia websites when Fat models or actors are equally treated as if she/he was skinny!!

Comments: I find censorship disgusting. Bowing to the complaints of a few people at the sacrifice of free expression is cowardly, greedy, weak, and un-American. You know better than that. Adults are responsible for their own actions, including what they choose to view or not view online. Children should be supervised by parents or software. We do not need Yahoo policing all of ANY subject matter.

Comments: keeping up pro ana and mia sites is our right. There are so many worse things on the internet. These sites help people suffering from ed's know that they're not alone. eating disorders are not about eating. for me, they are about lack of control, lonliness, feeling not accepted, and pressure to conform. these people who make pro ana/mia sites understand. i find comfort and hope in these sites from knowing that i dont suffer alone. many other girls do too. we come looking for these sites-we will find them no matter how many you try to shut down. as long as there are sufferers, we will be heard.

Comments: I am a recovering ana/mia and whenever I start to revert to my old ways, looking at these web sites and their pictures stops me and reminds me what I have left behind. I believe that these web sites should be left on the web, as sometimes they are the only things to help ana/mia sufferers.

Comments: Please do not shut these sites down, some people may see them as harmful, but others can see that these are people regardless of the situation, that is thier right and who are we to deny them anything Do we believe in everything else that is on the web how about pornography, child abuse sites, or even abortion sites...some sites, like child abuse are there to help recognize signs right well, one reason you want to shut down ana/mia sites is to not provide info to others to help them start or hide it right well, dont you think that on the child abuse sights even though that is not what the idea and plan is, but that some people are actually getting "tips" from it or for instance any other type of site can be used in any manor that a person chooses to see it..so why descriminate
