Dear NLAE Parents, It has come to our attention that the contract of our second grade teacher, Mrs. Monique Guilford (Mrs. G) has not been picked up for the next school year. Mrs. G is an experienced and respected 2nd grade teacher. However, the school’s administration does not see her in this light. As many of you know, Mrs. G. has had some unexpected medical challenges this school year. While this has caused her to be absent from the classroom more than she would care to be, we understand that it could happen to any one of us. With the shortage of excellent teachers, it would be a shame to let Mrs. G. go without notifying the administration as to where we parents stand regarding this matter. Our children are thriving under her skillful guidance and this petition serves to make this known to the school administration and board. Let us stand behind a wonderful teacher and help her to keep a job that she cherishes. Mrs. G. loves our children and wants to see them achieve their dreams.
