The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) wants to pass Section 706 and Title II. If these pass, the FCC would be allowed to regulate all aspects of the Internet from pricing, to technological changes, to new offerings. The truth is, the FCC wants the authority to control the web. If this happens, competition will be diminished and monopolies will rise. Government controlled Internet will and can NEVER be a good thing.
