V. Kenneth | Jackso | UT | Build Ogden, Think about the future.
Sheldon | Cheshire | UT | Allowing for another period of "debate" only keeps Ogden stagnant. I want more revenue from the progress that will occur downtown once that center is begun!
Stephen | Noel | UT | I do appreciate your reponsbility to see that everyone's interests are represented and that the City acts responsibly. However, as a relatively new resident of Ogden (5 years) I have to say that I am amazed and disappointed at the seemingly status quo attitude of many of the citizens in this once great city. The recreation center and Gondola are good examples. It's time to move forward and do things differently from the past. The past has gotten Ogden nothing. Quite frankly, this City is just hanging on. I love it here because of the location and the people, but the City is decaying. It's losing ground and it seems that many are content with this. I am not. I urge you to analyze and research these issues all you need, but at the end of the day, take a little risk, think outsid the status quo and let's get moving. This takes leadership, not scare tactics and misinformation which seemed rampant from those challenging the current council in the last election. Thank you.

Abraham | Shreve | UT | I have lived in Ogden for the better of 33 years. I remember as a young man going to downtown Ogden for recreation. I would love to see downtown Ogden rise again. I believe strongly that the rec center is the way to go.
Faith | Chapman | UT |
Amber | Gerritsen | UT |
Bob | Geiger | UT | Chris Peterson's plans, the Gondola, Larry Miller's Plans, the Hotel Benlomond Plans, the downtown housing projects, etc.... All of these come together with the High Adventure Rec Center to give Ogden an identity that can be sold to other companies and industries. We need to do this.
Curt | Geiger | UT | Rec Center coordinates with other efforts to create unique story for Ogden that works to sell the city to companies.
Kenyon | Dove | UT | I truly believe the high adventure project, the gondola and other projects will help pull Ogden out of the rut in which it has been stuck for many years now. Let's improve Ogden's reputation and restore to what it once was and better!
Shannon | Rohwer | UT |
Wynn | Covieo | UT | Though this project is not the panacea or fix all for Ogden it is a very key element. It would be criminal to not move forward at this point.
Russ | Cazier | UT |
Curt | Landes | UT | Council members, please complete this important job before the obstructionists take power& kill the progress you have made.
Stephen | Richey | UT | Let's build on what we have already learned and accomplished. To do otherwise risks setting us back 10 years.
KENNETH | RICHEY | UT |
Tony | Spencer | UT | I'm a business owner in Ogden, and I'd like to see more project like this.
| 27 | Norman | Schmehl | UT | The new council members were elected by a small minority of Ogden voters. The existing councilmen have all the data needed to allow the development to procede. To lose $8 million dollars is not wise or prudent by any measure. The new councilmen have not offered any other project other than factory stores which we all know will not happen for a number of reasons. The mall development is very close to taking off.
So existing coucilmen do your duty and vote for the the deveopment as planned. |
Jim | Westenskow | UT |
Craig | Richey | UT | Let's move ahead!
Roger | Dickson | UT |
David | Knowles | UT |
Ryan | Christiansen | UT | I urge the Ogden City Council to vote to move forward with the proposed recreation center. Ogden must take action to revitalize downtown or risk becoming a footnote in Utah history.
Kyle | Booth | UT |
Troy | Bowden | UT | I feel along with the gondola and new high adventure resort, the recreational complex is vital to Ogden's immediate success.
Holly | Smith | UT |
Keith | Richey | UT |
jBryan | Wahlquist | UT | We are in favor of the rec center plans. Move forward!!
Jeanette | Ballantyne | UT | Unless you have more or different information than you had before the election, the Rec Center should go forward. If it was right then, it is right now.
