Both have special needs and are receiving excellent instruction from our school and would only increase in overall educational benefit by receiving this second language instruction. Please reconsider cutting this program from the budget and our school!Flag

Name: Almut Miller on May 19, 2009School/Organization: Orange Hunt Elementary SchoolComments: In order to positively interact with the world around us we need to educate our children about this world. That is best done through foreign language instruction. Most industrialized countries make it mandatory to study a foreign language at an early age. A world class public education in Fairfax County should not fall behind.Flag

Name: Claudia Labriny on May 19, 2009School/Organization: Orange Hunt ElementaryComments: The german immersion program at Orange Hunt offers students the ability and knowledge to master the foreign language at an early age. This program can not be substituted by weekly/hourly instructions. All language classes, including the FLEX classes are a true benefit for the student and society. Without another language, students can not be leaders of the future. Knowledge of one or mulitple foreign languages sets individuals appart and prepares them for a lifetime of success.Flag
