Waqqar Khan-Farooqi, MDI love my professional life and career as an orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Elliott Wolfe was integral in helping me realize my goals. He is singular in his ability to guide medical students into life as caring physicians and human beings. He helps to contextualize medicine--something nobody else cares to do.
Paul ContiSacrificing education for politics is not something to be proud of. Neither is mistreating a good and dedicated man.
Alison Holmes, MD, MPHDr. Wolfe is one of the best of the best at student advising. I am convinced he is the only reason why Stanford students fare better in the Match than othre comparable students. This medical education role is a very important one, far too easily overlooked by academic medical centers. Alison Holmes, MD, MPH Assistant Professor, Dartmouth Medical School

Jennifer WalshI have found Dr. Wolfe to be not only knowledgeable and professional in his encounters with the Kaplan doctor training program, but his ethics are without question part of what makes Dr. Wolfe an exceptional person to work with. His beliefs are what make the Kaplan trainees benefit from the program in terms of what is important when practicing medicine. He also trains well to give the doctors the best chance of passing the medical exam.
AnonymousI have been involved with the Doctors' training program at Kaplan for four years and have always found Dr. Wolfe to be honest, knowledgeable and eager to be of assistance. This program will sorely miss his involvement.
AnonymousAs a speech pathologist in professional contact with Dr. Wolfe, I can attest to his extraordinary gifts as a physician, teacher and compassionate and energetic mentor of patients and students.
Meri Kolbreneri feel it would help to know the back-story. what are the actual accusatons? i can't imagine there is any indication to treat such a kind, well-intentioned man with such disrespect. why is the administration so angry? meri
Melissa EnriquezI sincerely hope an agreement can be reached between the administration and Dr. Wolfe for the benefit of students and the Stanford Med tradition of excellence, compassion, and creativity. The Stanford Med experience is unique, and my loyalty to the institution surpasses that of any other educational institution I have attended. Part of this is because of Dr. Wolfe. In my daily clinical work, I still appreciate Dr. Wolfe's support and astute clinical teaching. Keep Stanford Med the special place that it is. Keep Dr. Wolfe.
Matt MoriDr. Wolfe is one of the top clinical teachers I have had the good fortune to learn from at Stanford. I would strongly ask the administration to keep this valuable asset to the School of Medicine to maintain its excellence in clinical teaching.

Rebecca HjortenIt saddens me that a show of support entirely conceived of and led by students would be construed by the leadership at Stanford as incitement of student unrest by Dr. Wolfe himself. This is especially disconcerting given that he has been noticeably staying out of the fray. He did not attend the rally that was given in his support specifically because he did not want to be seen as an agitator. He has earnestly continued his position teaching and supporting students despite the threat to his position and in my mind without complaint. It is the students who are asking the questions and pushing for solutions to this conflict between our interests and those of the school.

Rosalinda AlvaradoDr. Wolfe was a very important and valuable part of my training. I could not imagine what my experience would have been without him. It would be very unfortunate if future Stanford medical students were not given the privilege of having him as a mentor.

Steven Lin, SMS2For Dr. Wolfe, his students are like an extension of his own family. For him, teaching medicine is more than a profession – it is a way of life, a lifetime avocation, and a means of service to humanity. He is the most caring, humane, compassionate, courageous physician and mentor I have ever encountered or could ever hope to encounter.

Joaquin Q. Camara-QuintanaI think it is a shame that he is being let go. He is a gifted clinical teacher and I have benefited tremendously from his teachings and advice even as a first year.

Bennett ClarkWithout knowing all the details of the situation, I can't say that Dr. Wolfe's firing means that I "will not, cannot, support Stanford Med". However, I agree that Dr. Wolfe is a deeply gifted educator, someone whose work benefits medical students immensely. For myself and med students after me, I hope that he stays at Stanford.
Emiley ChangDr. Wolfe is truly a wonderful asset at the medical school--an educator, clinician, and role model who is unbelievingly generous with his time. When we express how much we enjoyed a session, he would immediately say, "Just tell me when you are available next time." I did not for a minute conceive that he would not be here in a few short months, else I would have taken him up on his offer immediately. I am not questioning the well-meaning intentions and thought that had been put into our curriculum; all I ask is that the wishes of the petitioning students be considered in this particular matter. Thank you.
Kierann SmithLearning clinical skills from Dr. Wolfe has only reinforced many of the reasons I chose to come to Stanford Medical School. If he goes, much of the spirit that has made Stanford the great medical school it is will go with him. I am saddened to think that future generations of Stanford medical student's will be denied the privilege and inspiration of learning from Dr. Wolfe.
christina chaoDr. Wolfe was the quintessential clinical instructor who demonstrated unwavering investment into each of his students' academic endeavors as well as individual growth as a physician in training.

Matthew PiankoDr. Wolfe has had an immense impact on my first year in medical school, as he has also had on many of his students, past and present. I hope to continue to learn the art of medicine from Dr. Wolfe; the quality of clinical education at Stanford will suffer without Dr. Wolfe's energy and tireless dedication to Stanford medical students. I urge the administration to reconsider this decision and reinstate Dr. Wolfe.

Chantal ForfotaDr. Wolfe is wonderful physician, teacher, and mentor. It would be a great loss to Stanford students to lose him. I hope the administration can reconsider.

Gavi KohlbergDr. Wolfe has been by far the most supportive, caring and impressive teacher that I have encountered at Stanford. I hope that the he continues to teach medical students for years to come. Note: I don't support this part of the statement: we cannot and will not support a program whose execution disrespects the one person who exemplifies our highest principles. Sadly, we will not, we cannot, support Stanford Med –- ethically or financially --as long as leadership decisions create a schism in our most basic professional values.
