Name: Patricia Sherman on May 6, 2011Comments: Dr. Ghosh was my oncologist for 10 years. He always took his time with me and never made me feel rushed. We would lose a very caring physician if he leaves the area. He had many different programs he started to help his patients deal with their illness. I have delt with many other physicians but never one who cares for his patients like Dr. Ghosh. PCI should remember that money is not everything. Dr, Ghosh also cared for my husband and was the Dr. that told me that he would not survive his cancer and we should call in Hospice and take him home and enjoy the last days he had. I will always be grateful for him telling me that as we did cherish the last days he was with us..Flag

When the patients are happy and being professionally served, don't mess with things based on personal politics.Flag

For example, why does the petition start 15 months ago over fears he would leave but suddenly over a year later it becomes he was fired? You also can't help but notice that the first mention of money is by the doctor in that article. Why is he so focused on money that all his kool aid drinkers keep harping on it. Project much?Flag

Name: Pat Edgeton on May 7, 2011Comments: I met Dr. Ghosh when my best friend got breast cancer. He was so fantastic with her, and she felt his concern and caring and spoke of it often. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be that she would survive but she had lots of love and great words for Dr. Ghosh and how he provided comfort to her when she spoke with him. Her son and I felt the same way and this has upset me that this fine human being has been treated in this manner. I and my family are behind him 100%.Flag

He was excellent and explained the process very well to both my father and to my family as the therapy was occuring. I have nothing but good things to say about him.Flag

I have terminal cancer!! I NEED DR GHOSH. This is an absolute travesty. Not only do I have cancer, the unfairness of that, and now PCI does this! Over money!!!!! He is too good for them. I am so angry I think I am going to see a lawyer. THIS IS THE VERY DEFINITION of cruety. PCI and Sundall not only owe me but everyone in cedar rapids for the PAIN AND SUFFERING I and my FAMILY are going through. I will DIE without Dr Ghosh. God help you PCI and mike Sundall!!!! You don't deserve to exist in the same city as this great doctor!!!!!!!Flag

Name: Connie Sanders on May 18, 2011Comments: It is beyond my comprehension that anyone would even consider firing any doctor with the compassion, values and ethics held by Dr. Chirantan Ghosh. Have they overlooked the glaring fact that he is one of 4 finalists for Humanitarian of the Year in the field of Oncology? Do they not realize that he treats more than three times as many patients in a year than any other Oncologist normally sees? It concerns me that the decision makers at PCI can't grasp his value to his patients AND hospitals in the area. Yes, Dr Ghosh and his staff are suffering a loss but their patients are the ones paying the ultimate price. No matter how many other Oncologists are offerred up on their platter, not one of them provides for their patients in the same way he does. That doesn't make them bad doctors - it just makes him better.Flag
