Ми, що нижче підписалися, просимо вас підтримати народ України проти посилення диктатури. Під час свого 3-річного існування режимом Віктора Януковича повністю зруйновані системи стримувань і противаг. Поділу влади, який включає незалежну законодавчу і судову владу, більше не існує, політична опозиція зазнає переслідувань і фізичних винищень, журналістів і борців за права людини розглядають у принизливій манері. Українська мова - мова нації - дискримінується. Мільйони людей позбавлені майбутнього. Без жодного натяку на фінансову прозорість, режим незаконно приймає будь-яке майно і землю у свою власність. Останне випробування для української демократії відбулось 28 жовтня, у день парламентських виборів. Ми дали їм останній шанс - і вони сфальсифікували вибори. Ми знаємо, що цивілізований світ підтримує нас у нашому прагненні побудувати вільну і стабільну державу, але на жаль, всі ці міркування впадають на глухі вуха. Час ламати хребет режиму, до того як фальсифікації виборів дали йому необмежений контроль!

Якщо ви будете стояти осторонь і дивитися як пан Янукович відзначає свою «перемогу» в цих виборах, ви ризикуєте побачити бідну диктатуру якраз на кордоні з Європейським Союзом дуже скоро, яка перевершить білоруський режим пана Лукашенка у своєї жорстокості та хамстві. Україна - велика країна з багатими природними та людськими ресурсами та її відступ у середньовічну темряву буде великою втратою для всього цивілізованого світу, особливо враховуючи той факт, що ця країна була так близька, щоб стати повністю невід'ємною частиною європейського простору. На даний момент світова спільнота вирішить, яку Україну ми будемо бачити. Тому, ми просимо Вас докласти тиск на режим, щоб забезпечити відновлення демократичного порядку і стабільності. Ми просимо Вас використовувати міжнародні дії проти тих, хто намагається вкрасти наше майбутнє і майбутнє наших дітей.

Ми пропонуємо наступні заходи:

- Прозорі міжнародні антикорупційні дослідження щодо правлячих диктаторів і їх найближчого оточення;

- Конфіскація власності і фінансових ресурсів, що диктатори незаконно мають за кордоном;

- Обмеження по режиму в'їзду у вільні демократичні держави щодо диктаторів і їх друзів, щоб вони стали замкненими у рамках систем, які сами створили.

Ці безкровні і справедливі заходи визначать долі мільйонів людей, а також майбутніх демократичних систем у всьому світі. Ми розраховуємо на міжнародну спільноту, що надасть допомогу українській демократії в її труднощі!

Це клопотання засноване на зверненні увязненного українського екс-прем'єр-міністра Юліі Тимошенко до світового співтовариства.

We, the undersigned,ask you to support the People of Ukraine against the strengthening dictatorship. During its 3-year existence the regime of Mr. Victor Yanukovych has completely destroyed the system of checks and balances. The division of powers that includes independent legislature and judiciary no longer exists, political opposition is persecuted and physically exterminated, journalists and human rights activists are treated in the derogatory manner. The Ukrainian language - the language of the nation - is discriminated against. Millions of people are deprived of any future. Without any hint at financial transparency, the regime illegally takes any property and land into its possession. The final test for the Ukrainian democracywas sceduled to take place on October 28th, the day of the Parliamentary elections. Again, we have given them the last chance - and they have falsified the election. We know that the civilized world supports us in our efforts to build a free and stable state, but unfortunately all such considerations fall on deaf ears. It is time to break the backbone of the dictatorship, before rigged elections have given it unlimited control!

If you stand aside and watch Mr. Yanukovych celebrate his "victory" in these parliamantary elections, you risk discovering a war-torn poverty-stricken dictatorship just on the border with the European Union very soon, which will outdo Belorussian Mr. Lukashenko's regime in its ruthlessness and boorishness. Ukraine is a big country with rich natural and human resources and its retreat into the Medieval darkness will be a great loss for the whole civilized world, especially given the fact this country has been so close to becoming a fully integral part of the European space. At the moment it is up to the international community to decide what kind of Ukraine it would like to see. Therefore, we ask you to put all possible pressure on the regime and its representatives to ensure the restoration of democratic order and stability. We ask you to employ international actions against those who steal our future and the future of our children.

May we suggestthe followingmeasures:

- transparent international anti-corruption investigations mechanisms installation against the ruling dictators and their immediate environment;

- confiscation of property and financial resources that the dictators illegally possess abroad;

- restrictions concerning regime representatives' entry to free democratic states so that dictators and their friends become locked up within the systems they created.

Thesebloodless and fair measures will send a signal to other dictatorships and determine the fate of millions of people as well as the future of democratic systems worldwide. We count on the international community to assist Ukrainian democracy in its hardships!

This petition is based upon the message of the imprisoned Ukrainian Ex-Prime Minister Ms. Yulia Tymoshenko to the world community.
